I actually posted this in my own tumblr but I didn’t know how to submit the tumblr post to this blog. I thought it was rather hilarious, though.
Context: Someone asked a tumblr with “fuck no” in its name to trigger warning for swear words. I’m starting to think that half the people using triggers don’t know what they are actually for. I’ve also seen people ask for trigger warnings on things that you would expect to find there (i.e. asking for bigotry trigger warnings in a community that’s primarily about bashing bigots). I also have seen the people who request triggers sit through things that trigger them anyways (like a TV show) and then rant about it in excruciating detail.
These people literally have no sense of self-preservation.
If swear words trigger you then I don’t see how you can even function in a world where almost everyone swears.
